So, here we are. Battleborn #28, Ernest Igrin, has entered Early Access.

All Digital Deluxe and Season Pass Owners can now unlock the explosive avian Ernest via the use of a Hero Key, and can rain havoc down on the battlefield for the next week. Starting September 1st, Ernest will be available to all players, for a cost of 47,500 in-game credits.

According to Battleborn’s Official release statement, which can be read by clicking here, Ernest is “Steadfast, courageous, and prepared for just about any threat”. Follow the above link and have a read about Ernest’s background, and find out how he joined the UPR.

We have also been given another Battleplan, which you can find by clicking this link. There are a few new things this week in Battleborn, including some further tweaks to Ernest’s avian brethren Benedict.

Lastly, we have also been gifted with some information on the second-last of the planed five free Battleborn Characters. I am pleased to introduce you to Kid Ultra!

I REALLY hope that this guys transforms into a fighter jet, or an ambulance or something...

I REALLY hope that this guy transforms into a fighter jet, or an ambulance or something…

Ok, so yea. I’m really interested to see exactly what this guy is all about. Because, I mean…Wow. I’m not really sure. The team at Battleborn have given us the following spiel: “Evildoers beware! Kid Ultra is on patrol and ready to defend the universe from pesky, star-sucking, interdimensional jackholes. Hardwired to lend a helping hand, Kid Ultra is the pinnacle of support technology, buffing and healing teammates while subduing enemies. Let’s just hope this LLC technology is a bit more stable than some other nihilistic robots we know.”

Kid Ultra will be released in the ‘next few months’. But for now, I’m going to be jumping back into Solus to give Ernest a whirl. I’ll see you planet-side!
