What you can do in No Man’s Sky

My biggest contention with No Man’s Sky thus far is that there hasn’t been any demonstration of what it is that you actually do that would convince me to play it. Sure, there’s a googleplex planets or something like that that no one will ever be able to visit in their entirety. Sure, there’s totally different creatures and environments to explore on those myriad planets. But now we have proof that you can do more than just explore and maybe shoot harmless or not so harmless wildlife. Courtesy of IGN we have a good chunk of footage which shows some...

Total War: Warhammer Chaos Warriors Extension

More good news on the Warhammer front in the form of giant, hellish dragon ogres! Originally, the Chaos Warriors were only going to be included in the game for free if you were to pre-order but if you buy the game within the first week of its release you will also get access to the faction without having to pay for them separately later on as DLC. Now that may not sound like a bad deal unless you’ve been keeping track of Creative Assembly’s track record lately. They make absolutely fantastic strategy games, just not all the time. Hopefully...

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided trailer

I’m trying not to get too excited right now. The Deus Ex series is another in a long list that has a massively important and potent legacy in PC gaming. The original consistently makes its way to top ten games lists, deservedly. The most recent sequel Deus Ex: Human Revolution was a great game as well but not without flaws. Thankfully even the devs saw fit to apologise and fix them with the directors cut version. Before the end of this trailer I feel like they’ve learnt a lot from their mistakes and are really pushing themselves to make...

Grim Dawn Modding Tools Released

I’m a big fan of Grim Dawn and I was especially excited when modding support was confirmed many moons ago. It has taken some time for the tools to make their way out into the wild though. That day came late last week in a patch which also ironed out a couple of minor kinks in the game as well. If you’ve purchased the game on Steam, then the editors necessary to create your ideal mod are already sitting on your PC, provided you’ve allowed automatic updating (as if you’d actually turn that off…). Fair warning, much like the game itself,...

Guile released for Street Fighter 5

Guile goes with everything, Street Fighter V even more so. Guile has been officially released and is free to play (providing you ponied up for the game itself) until the cash shop is opened. After the shop hits, he’ll be purchasable with either Fight Money, which you earn in game, or real Earth dollars if you’re not that patient. You’ll also get access if you purchased the season pass, along with all other characters that will be released in the future. He’s the most iconic of the charge characters outside of M. Bison himself and has a new bag...
