The Shows

E3 2018 – Sunday, 10th of June to Wednesday, 13th of June (Australian Press Conference Times)

Even though we seem to go into almost every E3 knowing exactly what games are going to be showcased, I still get excited for it every year. Although I know I would never get the chance, I would love to go, just once. Instead, I will be doing my best to watch every press conference as they happen, and I’m sure my USM colleagues and the wonderful Discord community we have will be doing the same. It just sucks that it’s going to happen while I am usually either at work or asleep! – Josh Perkins

This’ll be a time. Keen to see all the games we already knew about from all the leaks and announcements in the months leading up to E3, and the 2 games we didn’t hear about yet. – Mathew Perkins

I can’t say any more then what has been said before, if you are a gamer, this is Christmas, If your not a gamer, there goes all you Christmas bonus. Can not be more excited about this, I just can’t. – Peter Wilkinson

The Games

The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset – Tuesday, 5th of June (PS4, XBone)

I remember when ESO was first released, and everyone was telling me how amazing and great and revolutionary it was going to be. Honestly, I’m still kinda surprised it exists. Sure, I know that there are a bunch of people that really enjoy it, but it’s just not my cup of tea – Josh Perkins

I got into this title for a little while, but I just don’t have the time in my life anymore for an MMO style RPG 🙁 – Mathew Perkins

I have played this serious on and off since beta and love the series. The music and the story telling in the game is right up there with the best I have enjoyed. However, I don’t think I have the time in my life to jump back down that rabbit hole at the moment. If your a fan of the game it looks like a pretty good time to jump back in if you have not played in a while though. – Peter Wilkinson

Vampyr – Tuesday, 5th of June (PS4, XBone, PC)

This is a game I have been waiting to get my hands on. I’m really interested to see how they manage the human/vampire choices they say are going to be in the game, and how that affects your play through. This could either be really entertaining, or really bad. Expect to see a my thoughts up on the website this month after I have spent some time with the game. – Josh Perkins

I am incredibly keen on this title for some reason. One I will definitely be picking up and sinking some hours into. – Mathew Perkins

Shaq FU: A Legend Reborn – Tuesday, 5th of June (Switch)

HAHAHAHA ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?! There used to exist a website that was dedicated to tracking down and destroying every cartridge of Shaq Fu ever produced. Why they would re-release this game is well beyond me. – Mathew Perkins

This just looks so god damn ridiculous. I think I need it. – Josh Perkins

This has come from nowhere, I am interested to know more but scared at the same time. – Peter Wilkinson

Onrush – Tuesday, 5th of June (PS4, XBone)

It’s good to see that arcade style racers are still a thing. Now, give me another Burnout game please. – Mathew Perkins

Very interested in this, but I think I will wait till it is on sale or at least find out how it plays before I jump in. – Peter Wilkinson

MotoGP 18 – Thursday, 7th of June (PS4, XBone)

Not my thing, but cool for MotoGP fans I guess? – Mathew Perkins

Jurassic World Evolution – Tuesday, 12th of June (PC)

This is my most anticipated title for June. Frontier games is one of my most trusted developers out there and to marry the gameplay they do so well in games like Theme park tycoon, zoo tycoon and Roller Coaster Tycoon with the world of Dinosaurs in Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, this is a match made in heaven. This has in depth lore of the series and lets you splice DNA to modify your dinosaurs, so much to love about this game. I expect the highlight though is, Jeff Fuck Goldblum is lending is voice and the character in did so well, Ian Malcolm, to the game. – Peter Wilkinson

Lego The Incredibles – Friday, 15th of June (PS4, XBone, Switch)

Didn’t even know this was going to be a thing – Peter Wilkinson

While I actually like the Incredibles movie, I have never really been able to get into the Lego series of games. I’m sure people love them, but its just not for me. – Josh Perkins

Mario Tennis Aces – Friday, 22nd of June (Switch)

YES, HELL YESS and OMG YES!! Enough said, get it. – Peter Wilkinson

New Gundam Breaker – Friday, 22nd of June (PS4)

YESSSS, A dynasty warriors style Gundam game?! I have been meaning to pick up one of these games in the past. Now that they are seeing releases in the west, I will be SURE to give it a go. Right up my alley. – Mathew Perkins

Far Cry 3: Classic Edition – Tuesday, 26th of June (PS4, XBone)

Far Cry 3 would have to be one of my favourite entries into the franchise, and I would highly recommend picking this up if you are yet to play it. Yes, be prepared for normal open-world tower’s that Ubisoft seems to have in every game, but also be prepared for an incredibly engaging villain – Josh Perkins

Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogy – Friday. 29th of June (XBone, Switch)

I grew up playing the Crash games, and absolutely loved them. With that said, I didn’t pick this up on PS4 for a reason, and it’s the same reason I won’t be picking this up on my Switch. I love Crash because I grew up playing Crash, not because I want to play Crash now. – Josh Perkins

Already got it on PS4. THE REAL HOME OF CRASH BANDICOOT. Phonies. – Mathew Perkins

Maybe, nope, maybe, only chance will be the switch version, hold on, no. – Peter Wilkinson

The Crew 2 – Friday, 29th of June (PS4, XBone)

Oh, they made another one? After the luke-warm reception to the original, I did not see that coming. Cool though, I guess. – Mathew Perkins

The winner for the sequel that the least amount of people asked for goes to? Look, I enjoyed The Crew, I even like the direction that they are taking this game, but all that being said, still not even close to getting me interested. – Peter Wilkinson

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus – Friday, 29th of June (Switch)

I have been meaning to play this title. Unfortunately, I don’t own a switch yet. So I’ll probably pick it up on something else. – Mathew Perkins

Prefer to play it on PC, PS4 if I had to, but not the Switch. Enjoy those who don’t have any other option because this is an amazing game, just play it the best way you can, if you have the option. – Peter Wilkinson

Harvest Moon: Light of Hope – Friday, 29th of June (PS4, Switch)

I really like the Harvest Moon series of games. Kawaii Farming at it’s finest. I might end up picking this up on the PS4. – Mathew Perkins
