Growing up, did you ever wonder what it would be like to be a meme photojournalist, taking photos of seemingly innocent people while trying to track down the group of people that wronged you to assassinate them? Well then you’re in luck, because soon your dreams can be a reality, with Shots Fired!
Shots Fired is an upcoming first-person assassination simulator (otherwise known as an FP-ASS) from our friends Another Indie and Chryse. Filled with vibrant pixel-art , Shots Fired throws you into a gorgeous world where selfies are illegal, the Earth is Flat and meme photojournalism is a real thing that will earn you real (fake) money.
The basic premise of the game is simple, yet hilarious. Working as a photojournalist for Buzzfeed, you need to complete missions to earn enough money to start your assassination career. Swipe right on Huntr, the social network for all assassins, and you could be taking down your favourite icons from a range of movies, TV shows or games all across the globe. Most importantly, you need to find out who killed your wife, kidnapped your daughter and, worst of all, nicked your beloved TV.
I’ve played through the media build I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few times now, and cannot wait to get my hands on the final copy of the game. When it releases later this year, Shots Fired will be available on PC, Mac and the Switch. I highly recommend giving it a look.
If you are chasing any more information on the game, you can get a swag of it from the website here.
Oh, and here is a little trailer, just to show you all how amazing Shots Fired really is.
